For large family and friend celebrations, Lavender Cottage can also be hired together with its 4-bed sister, Byways Cottage and No.29 Madresfield, another 3-bed cottage which is a very short walk away. On entering this special property, you will find a hall/boot room and then a cosy, beamed sitting room featuring a wood-burning stove and plush corner sofa, ideal for the perfect night in. Alternatively, guests can rewind and enjoy a luxurious soak under the stars in the wood-fired hot tub, sensitively situated in the sweeping back garden, taking advantage of the views of the Malvern Hills. After preparing a meal in the contemporary and well-equipped kitchen, featuring patio doors and views of garden and hills beyond, guests can gather in the cosy dining room or enjoy an alfresco dining experience, taking advantage of the outdoor garden furniture and generous patio. The beautiful Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills form a 9-mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and long distance views in all directions. The town holds antiques fairs, WI country markets, farmers’ markets and many auctions throughout the year, as well as the Great Malvern Food Festival in June. Malvern has individual shops, cafes, galleries, restaurants, a luxurious spa and it’s own micro brewery. It is also just a short drive from the Three Counties Showground which hosts regular events most notably RHS Malvern (May), The Royal Three Counties Show (June) and the Malvern Autumn Show (September). The town is the home of the Morgan car which makes this area popular with motoring enthusiasts. The Malvern Theatre welcomes productions from the West End and the Royal Shakespeare Company. The more energetic can try many outdoor activities including high ropes, climbing and abseiling. Fishing and river cruises are available nearby and there are National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards to visit in the area. The picturesque Forest of Dean with its range of attractions is only 30 miles away, and the cathedral city of Worcester offering modern amenities is a 20 minute drive away.
