About this property

Southcroft Cottage is ideally located in the peaceful village of Bredon's Norton at the foot of Bredon Hill. Lovingly renovated and fully modernised throughout, this spacious cottage with its pretty country garden and enviable countryside views is ideal for a break in the Cotswolds, throughout the seasons.

Built from traditional local red brick, Southcroft Cottage is located on a quiet lane in this beautiful tranquil village. Providing a perfect blend of old and new, the cottage retains plenty of its original charm and character throughout. The front door is accessed from the garden and leads you straight into the sitting room with wooden beams, exposed stone walls, a stone floor and a cosy wood burning stove, perfect for retiring to when the evening draws in. The dining room leads to the light filled garden room with french doors allowing you to enjoy the views of the country cottage garden. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for the keenest of chefs and leads to the utility room with a stable door opening out to the seating area in the garden.

Upstairs are two beautifully presented double bedrooms with king-size beds, along with a smaller room with views across the surrounding countryside and a single bed, ideal for families with children to enjoy their own room (subject to a maximum capacity of four guests in total). At the end of the hallway is a spacious family bathroom, which has a bath and large walk-in shower.

Bredon’s Norton is a small village at the northern-most edge of the Cotswolds. Six miles south west of Pershore and 12 miles east of Evesham, it is situated on the western slopes of Bredon Hill in south Worcestershire alongside the River Avon and is approximately five miles north east of Tewkesbury, where it is claimed William Shakespeare acted on his Barn Storming Tour. The village has several pretty timber-framed cottages (called cruck cottages due to their construction) and a 12 th century thatched tithe barn. In the centre of the village is The Church of St. Giles.
