About this property

A delightful holiday cottage in an enviable quiet position just a few minutes walk from the heart of the popular village of Broadway - one of the Cotswolds most desirable villages with excellent pubs, restaurants and independent shops to browse. Private parking and being dog friendly, with a garden that is enclosed

Laburnum Cottage is ideally located in the desirable Cotswolds village of Broadway and is owned by the landlord of The Crown and Trumpet Inn who offers three individual self-catering retreats for a short break or longer holiday and also accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis at the inn. Whether you want to cater for yourself or fully relax and take advantage of the option for breakfast and meals at the inn, the cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds, Malvern Hills and Shakespeare´s country.

Nicely presented and well equipped, Laburnum Cottage sleeps up to three guests in two bedrooms and is ideal for couples, friends and families. Well located, the cottage sits on the road that leads to the village of Snowshill (which was used in the filmset for the popular movie Bridget Jones Diary) and is within walking distance of Broadway village where you will find a good choice of independent shops and places to eat (including The Crown and Trumpet Inn).

Broadway is one of the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds and exceptionally popular with visitors to the area, seeking a taste of Cotswolds life. Sitting on the borders or Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, this honey-coloured village with its beautiful mellow stone cottages and impressive High Street is perfect for visiting a plethora of attractions including Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, Chipping Campden, the ancient market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water (known as the 'little Venice of the Cotswolds'), Moreton-in-Marsh with its weekly market, Warwick Castle and even the Roman City of Bath to name just a few.

The area offers numerous country houses and gardens to visit including Blenheim Palace in Woodstock (Winston Churchill's birthplace), Snowshill Manor (one of the many National Trust properties in the Cotswolds) and Stanway House. There are also a wealth of attractions for the younger (and older!) ones including Cotswold Lavender, the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway for a trip on a steam train, Adam Henson's Cotswolds Farm Park with rare breeds of farm animals for the little ones to meet and the Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens for the more exotic kind.

For those who enjoy walking and outdoor activities, the Cotswolds Way is on the doorstep and just a few minutes walk from the cottages, providing access to miles of stunning scenery to discover on foot. Cycling is also popular in the area and an ideal way of exploring the landscape and pretty Cotswolds villages throughout. Alternatively soak up the scenery whilst enjoying a game of golf, watch cricket, rugby or polo at one of the local grounds or head to Cheltenham for an exciting day at the races. The choices are endless and you will find yourself wanting to return time and time again!
