About this property

Appealing in looks, Winterbourne Cottage is a charming and deceptively spacious place in which to enjoy a short break or longer holiday.

Perfectly positioned for visiting Stonehenge which is 25 minutes away. Salisbury, 30 minutes & the stunning National Trust property Stourhead Gardens.

Once inside, you'll find a bright and airy living room with french windows opening out onto a delightful rear garden: a lovely place to sit and listen to the hum of the bees and the birdsong as you enjoy a quiet drink or two.

A mix of traditional and modern furnishings gives a sense of 'times gone by' while at the same time ensuring guests have all the comforts they need to be able to relax.

A good choice for families or couples alike.

The house was well equipped and comfortable - if a little dated. Plenty of space and a good sized private garden. The underfloor heating was not controllable by the guests - and we found it a bit cold. But there is a coal-effect gas fire in the sitting room, which we did eventually get to work! Loads to visit and explore nearby, including Stonehenge. Great local history books in the house too.

It is located on a very quiet lane close to the village centre and provides peace and quiet without isolated. For those who enjoy the natural world unadultered by traffic noise and artificial lighting, this is an ideal place to stay.

The house was musty & cold when we arrived at 4pm, and no info on how to get heating on. Next morning we found the heating controls in a cupboard in utility room Also we couldn’t open windows or patio doors on ground floor. Apart from that very comfortable.
