Steeped in literary history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters, Haworth has much to offer, including traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes, a variety of walks and many events throughout the year. There is also the Worth Valley Steam Railway, the setting for the film ‘The Railway Children’, which has a station in Haworth. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets, delightful castle and market and is well worth a visit. A short drive over the moors is the ever-popular town of Hebden Bridge with its many independent shops, bars and restaurants. This lovely cottage is an ideal base to explore the Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales at any time of the year.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren.
