The surrounding rolling chalk countryside offers ample walking and cycling opportunities, with a network of footpaths and trails, whilst the historic market towns of Market Weighton, Beverley and Driffield are close by. Visit Sledmere House, Beverley Minster and the Yorkshire Air Museum, or take a day trip to York to visit the sights, including The National Railway Museum and the Jorvic Viking Centre. The seaside resorts of Bridlington and Filey are sure to be a big hit with the children, while Bempton RSPB Reserve will facinate all ages. Driffield is a busy market town set in the Yorkshire Wolds, with a lot on offer for its visitors. There are many pubs and cafes to choose from, providing quality food and drink from local suppliers.

Visitors can enjoy shopping for local produce at the weekly market, held in Driffield every Thursday, which is a very popular local event and there is also the yearly Driffield Show held at the Showground every summer.
