Skipton is an 11 mile drive from Long Preston, famous for its market town in the Craven district of North Yorkshire. For those who like art and culture there is the Craven museum and gallery held in the town hall. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area, not to mention the most delicious fish and chips and delightful tea rooms. The town of Settle is only 3 miles away, and the start of the 3 Peaks walk is only 8 miles away. A truly beautiful location with plenty of enjoyment and adventure in the local area.
Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer. This market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. Steam railways with regular excursions are availablel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!

Near to all walks we went on. Fantastic views. Great pub food with friendly welcome only 7 minute walk away. Would highly recommend & will revisit in future with different plans

Property has everything that you need and is well kept and clean. Only issues is the very busy road. Hosts has done their best to mitigate the noise but there is no getting away from it just outside you window.

The cottage is well fitted out and was one of the cleanest we had stayed in and everything worked as it should. I would say if you struggle sleeping then this isnât the place for you , would benefit from triple glazing upstairs .
