Pateley Bridge, voted Great Britain's Best Village High Street in 2016, is a town in the valley of the River Nidd. Alleys and yards off the main street housing offering shops places to eat and drink, two butchers, a fishmongers, a bakery and the oldest sweet shop in England. Pateley Bridge is known for its floral displays, whilst the nearby leisure centre has a swimming pool and the riverside park with children's play area is not to be missed. Also worth a visit is the Craft Workshops and the Nidderdale Museum - a lively collection of displays illustrating all aspects of Dales life in the past. Up and downstream, the Nidd Valley offers excellent opportunities for walking, cycling and birdwatching.

I wouldnât want to cook a full meal in the small kitchen but you donât go on holiday to do that. Parking was ok but probably more of a hassle when itâs busier.Only downside was the boiler which clicks on for a few minutes every hour or so all through the night. I tried to stop it by turning it to water only but that didnât work.
