Only 3 miles away is the popular Georgian town of Richmond, where there are numerous top quality restaurants, bistros and bars, as well as antiques and gift shops. There is a farmers market that takes place on the cobbled market square as well as numerous tourist attractions to visit, including the historic castle that stands high on the hill and overlooks the thriving town below. There are also excellent riverside and woodland walks leading from Richmond too, and one of the most popular is Wainwright’s famous Coast to Coast walk.
