This fabulous property is perfect for a special occasion or a gathering of friends and family, standing in a prominent position on a main road within the pretty village of West Witton in Wensleydale.
Tastefully decorated with lots of space, it has a separate living room and dining room, and a farmhouse-style kitchen with oak units, a range cooker and all the mod cons. The property is comfortably furnished with four good-sized bedrooms, providing ideal accommodation for up to eight guests.
Outside is a sunny courtyard extending into a beautiful, enclosed lawn area, taking in the views beyond. It is the perfect space to enjoy a glass of your chosen tipple after a day of exploring the surrounding countryside.
West Witton enjoys dramatic views of Penhill, along with gorgeous rolling countryside and the dramatic fells. The village itself has a wonderful restaurant and a pub, which is listed in the camra Good Beer Guide; there is also a village store and tea room, which is open during the summer months. Cycling is extremely popular here, being a stage in the 2014 Tour de France and the annual Tour de Yorkshire. There is a bike store at the property to accommodate cyclists.
Travel to Aysgarth to see the waterfalls or visit Hawes with its quirky shops and cafés, and don’t forget to stop off at the famous Wensleydale Creamery. In the opposite direction you will pass the picturesque village of Middleham and its castle. Enjoy the sights as the race horses ride to and from the gallops each day, or sit it in the village square and enjoy a coffee as you watch the world go by.
A short drive away is the bustling market town of Leyburn with its host of interesting shops, restaurants and cafés all set around the market square. Friday is market day giving you the chance to snap up some of the gorgeous local produce. Here you will find a well-stocked convenience store and a delicatessen and wine store catering for your every need. Shop 5 yards, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
