Set in a quiet courtyard, this delightful ground floor cottage is one of three, in which the owner has taken great care to provide a welcoming retreat with all the facilities you need for a relaxing holiday. With quality furnishings and fabrics, Sleepy Fox Cottage is a cosy home to come back to after you've spent your day exploring the whole of the North York Moors and the Heritage Coast. There is an inn serving excellent food just a minute's walk away. This is a fabulous walking area - from here you can head out over the moors towards Goathland, Aidensfield in Heartbeat, or the picturesque village of Levisham and you can hop onto the North York Moors Steam Preservation Railway from any of these locations and enjoy a trip through wonderful scenery over to the market town of Pickering which has a varied selection of shops, tearooms and pubs and of course the popular market day on Monday.

On the coast, just a short drive away, there are lots of fishing villages and traditional seaside towns, Sandsend, Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough to name but a few, many with sandy beaches and all with unique interesting attractions waiting to be discovered.  Whitby has quaint shops, tearooms and is noted for some of the finest fish and chips in the North of England, the fish freshly caught on the day and served up with steaming hot tea, bread and butter, a perfect end to a perfect day!
