The town of Malton has many interesting buildings including the old Corn Exchange and Assembly Rooms. A weekly market is still held in the town, as well as livestock and farmers' markets. The Yorkshire Moors are to the north, and the Yorkshire Wolds are to the south, making it excellent country for walkers and cyclists.

The owners are lovely and have provided handy information about the surrounding area too. We previously staying in Primrose cottage, which was of the same high standard, but we loved having the separate lounge. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful, had everything we needed and the views were spectacular. Ivan was a wonderful host (even gave us a jump start in the morning!). I'd highly recommend a stay at Derwent or Primrose cottage.
