Located within walking distance of the sea, less than 2 miles, the nearest beach at Cayton Bay welcomes dog walkers throughout the year. Guests will love to relax in the spa hot tub situated on the patio and heated to 38 degrees at all times. It features a myriad of whirlpool and bubble jets, plus soothing underwater lighting perfect for evening dips. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the large landscaped gardens with summerhouse and apple trees, and the additional separate dog walk paddock. The property can accommodate wheelchair users, with portable ramps provided for entrance doors and shower and toilet assist seats for the bathrooms if required. Carr House is well suited to multi-generational families with room to spread out in the two large living rooms, both with wide-screen TV’s, and having an open fire and piano in one, and full satellite TV package in the other. With a south facing conservatory and a large dining room, this gives a real home from home feel and is an ideal place to celebrate that special family occasion. There is much to see and do in the surrounding area, with a good selection of local pubs, fish and chips and fine dining restaurants. If it is relaxation you are wanting, head to Cayton Bay, located 1½ miles away, and simply enjoy the views and relax on the sandy beach. The popular seaside town of Scarborough is situated only 4 miles away and offers a variety of attractions for the whole family including ice cream parlours, a fun-fair, amusements and donkey rides. Get on board with a boating or fishing trip, where whales can be seen off the coast of Whitby in August. For an enjoyable evening out, why not visit the theatre? The Stephen Joseph Theatre is home of the world renowned Sir Alan Ayckbourn’s premiers, or for a different experience try a show at the Open Air Theatre. There are activities available to suit everyone, whether a peaceful day at a spa in Scarborough takes your fancy or you want to try out surfing and body boarding, cycling in Dalby Forest or aqua activities at Wykeham Lakes.
