There is a footpath that leads down to the beach which has won the ’British Beach of the Year 2018’. Filey is the nearest seaside town and is very popular with families. The beach stretches all the way from Filey down to the complex, so if you enjoy a long walk along the beach there’s over 5 miles of it to enjoy.

The seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby lie to the north, and Flamborough Head and Bridlington to the south. The rspb bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive from the cottage and here you can see thousands of migrating seabirds, from kittiwakes and guillemots to the ever popular puffins. It attracts many visitors from both the UK and internationally.

Pebble Cottage is a great base to see all that Yorkshire has to offer from the rugged North York Moors National Park to the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds made famous by the David Hockney paintings. Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes, and Castle Howard, Sledmere House, Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes are all a short drive away. Beach 500 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on-site.
