This gorgeous holiday cottage is in a quaint, Yorkshire village on the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park. The pet-friendly property welcomes four guests, and suits couples and families looking to explore both the rugged moorland countryside and the beautiful stretch of coastline around Staithes (2 miles) and Runswick Bay (1 mile). The village itself has two cosy pubs, a fish and chip shop, and a friendly cafe to refuel in after a long walk.

The traditional, mid-terrace cottage has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished, with pastel-coloured paintwork, statement wallpapers, vibrant soft furnishings, and quirky accessories. A subtle coastal theme runs throughout the property, reminding you of the fantastic location. The heart of the home is a stunning lounge/diner, linked by French doors to the cosy lounge. Prepare feasts for the group in the stylish kitchen area, before gathering at the pretty dining table for family mealtimes. After dinner, head through to the colourful lounge to read your book or enjoy a movie night around the Smart TV. Upstairs you’ll find two inviting bedrooms, both with their own, unique style, along with the family shower room. One of the bedrooms has a pull-out bed to accommodate an extra guest if required. Outside, there is a small, enclosed patio area where you can sit out with a glass of wine on a summer’s evening. The cottage has on-street parking, subject to availability.

The idyllic fishing village of Staithes is just 2 miles from the cottage, and boasts cobbled streets and quaint fishermen’s cottages. The picturesque village is a favourite amongst artists, and you’ll find several galleries and studios showcasing local talent. Alternatively, journey to the coastal town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea (10 miles) for traditional seaside fun or explore the fabulous gothic architecture in Whitby, 16 miles along the coast. There are also some lovely walks to enjoy nearby, including the Cleveland Way, which passes just 0.5 miles from the cottage.
