Built around a quaint cobbled courtyard and facing Craigievar Castle’s famous pink turrets, Steading Cottage is perfect for a small family or group seeking a tranquil retreat to Scotland. Discover a unique living/dining room to relax in after a fun-filled day, with an original fireplace hosting an open fire in the centre of the room. Light up the fire and take a seat on the purple sofa or one of the plush armchairs, before flicking on the TV for a film night. At the other end of the room, you will find a table at which you can dine, with a fitted galley kitchen providing a fantastic space to rustle up your delicious dishes with a range of high quality appliances at hand. When you're in need of rest, find two elegant bedrooms, comprising a double and a twin, both with to excellent furnishings and ample storage for your belongings. Completing the interior is the family bathroom, where you can freshen up in the morning with the shower over bath setup, before pulling on your walking boots to enjoy a morning stroll around the peaceful grounds. Settled in the region of Aberdeenshire surrounded by countryside is the small town of Alford, steeped in history and offering a perfect location for enjoying both the city sights of Aberdeen and the vast Cairngorms National Park. The town is home to several local businesses including shops and pubs, and also the Alford Heritage Museum. Visit the Battle of Alford battleground, or head to nearby Haughton and Murray country park, with Craigievar Castle being well-worth a visit too.

Note: Access is via the front door which has a step, and there are three internal steps down into the living/dining area, the area by the front door is cobbled.

Note: Dogs are not allowed on beds or any of the furniture, you may like to bring an old towel to wipe muddy paws.

Note: The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted.

Note: Fuel for the open fire is not provided, logs and coal are available locally at petrol stations and shops, we kindly ask that you do not collect wood from the estate.
