Set in an elevated position in 37 acres of natural grounds and woodland of the owners’ livery stables, this gorgeous little detached cottage, offers a very relaxing base in a beautiful area of Aberdeenshire. Lovingly maintained by the owners who live close by, it is bright and comfortable with a lovely wood burner in the living room, and is ideally located for discovering the myriad delights of the region. The bi-folding doors lead onto a sheltered sunny patio where guests can soak up the sun or enjoy an al fresco meal or drink in a lovely peaceful environment. The track leading to the cottage offers stunning views across open farmland and stabling is available for those who wish to bring their horse and enjoy hacking in the wonderful countryside.
There is excellent cycling and walking on the nearby Balloch Forest trails, fishing and of course the renowned Whisky Trail (with many distilleries within a 20 minute drive), make this an ideal cottage for a varied holiday. The sandy beaches of the Moray Coast are under an hour’s drive away. Within easy reach are turreted castles and lovely gardens to explore, as well as testing golf courses and a scenic coastal trail to follow. Huntly and Keith are approximately 7 miles away, with good shops, restaurants and pubs. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 7 miles.
