A beautiful contemporary house, Kirklea Cottage is located only 100 yards from the harbour and seafront in the picturesque town of Portpatrick, where there are pubs, restaurants and shops all just a short stroll away. Portpatrick lies at the start of the Southern Upland Way with challenging walks in the uplands of the Galloway Hills, to gentle seaside trails, rolling moors and dramatic cliff-top walks.
The area is steeped in history and the landscape is popular with artists, birdwatchers and nature lovers. The Mull of Galloway, with its grass topped rspb visitor centre, is Scotland’s most southerly point with amazing views of Ireland, England, Isle of Man and Scotland! The cottage is located only 8 miles from the bustling harbour town of Stranraer with many shops, pubs and eateries. There are many gardens to enjoy with Castle Kennedy and Logan Botanic Gardens being very popular. The ferry to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan for a spot of sightseeing or a shopping trip to Belfast. Beach 100 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 25 yards.
