Bedroom 2: With single bed (for child).. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. . Garden with sitting-out area. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. Moss Cottage is a pretty and charming cottage on the banks of the River Forth between the City of Stirling and larger town of Falkirk, with owner living adjacent/nearby.
Comfortably sleeping two adults and one child in the two quirky bedrooms, along with a comfy sofa bed for two in the living room. The living room also has a wood burner, perfect for when you come in after a day out, where you can all sit and get nice and toasty planning the next day’s adventure. The kitchen has enough space for four round the dining table and is kitted with all you’ll need to prepare meals in this home away from home.
The charming village square is worth a wander round, surrounding a village bowling green where you may even see a game going on, but it’s likely you’ll not notice it as the charm of all the buildings captivate you. Dunmore is between Stirling and Falkirk which makes the village one of the best locations to base yourself from. Nearby, one of the local attractions is the famous Pineapple with some stunning woodland walks that surround it.
One direction takes you towards Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument then beyond towards Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Head the other way and you can wander round the Helix Park where the famous sculpture of the mythical Kelpies can be seen, making the perfect backdrop for some of the best photos. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both easily accessible by car and reachable in well under an hour.
