Enjoying a delightful and peaceful setting just a short walk from the beach, this lovely terraced cottage for four has been equipped and tastefully furnished to a very good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible. The small fishing village of Avoch is set in the beautiful Black Isle and makes a perfect base for exploring the many attractions of this stunning part of the Northern Highlands. The village and neighbouring Fortrose benefit from a good selection of shops, pubs, cafés plus Indian and Chinese takeaways and of course, fish and chips, all within 500 yards of Seashore, along with a wonderful sense of the history of the village.
There is an abundance of walks in the area whether it’s along the sweeping, unspoilt beaches, with a beautiful, sandy beach 1½ miles away and a pebble beach just 50 yards, or through wooded trails and perhaps up to visit the former site of the historic Ormond Castle. The castle is believed to be a stronghold of William the Lion, King of Scots who reigned from 1165AD to 1214AD. From the castle you can enjoy the magnificent views of this area.
Amongst the many activities available are mountain biking, golf, water sports and sea trips, and you may have the pleasure of seeing some of the dolphins and seals which are regularly seen from the boat. The rspb Munlochy Bay is just over a mile from Avoch, and you can sit in the hide and watch and photograph a huge variety of birds which visit regularly. Slightly further afield are Inverness, the Highland capital, Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield and Fort George, just a few of the many interesting places that are within easy reach. Take a trip down the Moray Firth coastline dotted with picturesque fishing villages, or travel west to see more of the stunning scenery of the Highlands. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and unwind in this wonderful house where lots of happy memories will undoubtedly be made. Beach 50 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
