The surrounding area is an outdoor and nature lover’s paradise. With no noise from traffic and no lights to be seen, it is completely undisturbed and secluded. There are numerous grassy tracks in the thousands of acres surrounding Torran, where deer roam and birdlife abounds, including rare scooter duck on the nearby loch and osprey nesting in the adjoining hills. An rspb nature reserve is close by. This will appeal to walkers, cyclists and anyone looking for the ultimate get away.

Visitors can fish the surrounding lochs and river for salmon and trout by prior arrangement with the owner (at cost). The nearby village of Halkirk, just 6 miles away, has a good selection of facilities, including a thriving pub with meals, local store and other amenities. Beach 14 miles.
