The ground floor is given over to a wonderful open plan living area with a cosy woodburning stove and views across the grounds to the surrounding trees. The first floor has two king-size double bedrooms, with one boasting an en-suite shower room and a private balcony. Stylishly equipped with monogrammed towels and luxurious toiletries, your stay here is sure to be a delightful one. The rear garden is secluded and bordered by large trees, making it the ideal spot to relax with a drink. Stroll around the corner to Uisge bar and restaurant, and Murthly village also has a shop. Stewart Lodge Cottage is just over 6 miles from the beautiful towns of Birnam and Dunkeld, or why not take a day to visit historic Perth or Dundee? Explore the beautiful forests by foot or bike or try one of the many fishing rivers or golf courses in the area, including Gleneagles. The small town of Dunkeld dates from the 9th century and is a pleasant place to spend an afternoon. The forests surrounding Dunkeld and nearby Birnam are known as Perthshire Big Tree Country and are celebrated in Shakespeares Scottish Play. The Hermitage is a National Trust site of beautiful forest which contains Ossians Hall of Mirrors, a folly built as a tribute to the 3rd century blind poet Ossian on a rocky outcrop near the Black Linn waterfalls.
