If you want to snuggle up for a night in to plan your day ahead, the local favourite fish and chip shop Wellington's, is a minute's stroll away for you to experience the best fish supper in Ayr, right next door to the award-winning Renaldo's ice cream shop. A bit further afield, there are regular bus and train links to the historic city of Glasgow, as well as the seaside town of Largs, where you can catch a quick ferry to the Isles of Arran, Bute and beyond. Another favourite haunt of many of the locals is golf, with three public golf courses nearby you have an excellent selection.
