Enjoy the best of both worlds in this stylish, spacious holiday retreat, sleeping 8, tucked away in a tranquil location, feeling totally secluded and private, yet is a short walk/drive from Solva, glorious sandy beaches, fun activities and lots of local Pembrokeshire attractions.

Take a moment to enjoy the stunning views towards the shimmering sea once you arrive.

The children, meanwhile will run and play on the vast lawns, perfect for ball games and flying a kite, which surround the house or will have spotted the games room, with full-size pool table, bagatelle, toys, garden games and lots of interesting board games and books to keep them amused. The scene is set for a wonderful family holiday.

The spacious well-equipped kitchen with pretty garden views, is a delight, holiday cooking with ease, with all necessary appliances and equipment to hand, even a magimix, to cook up a holiday banquet.

Wander through to the impressive sitting room, enjoying exposed A-frame beams and lofty heights. This is the perfect room for family get-togethers and a sing-song around the piano. On chillier days put a match to the log burner and settle in with a good book from the bookcase, the ultimate winter relaxation.

Sky is available in the sitting room including Sky Sports, a Blu-ray player, a media player and a Nintendo Wii with various family games.

The garden room sits off the sitting room, ideal for quieter moments, soaking up the sea views, and star gazing at night, particularly so in the absence of light pollution. The covered patio area is accessed from here with Webber barbecue ideal for when the weather is not perfect.

For an excellent night's sleep the four well-appointed bedrooms beckon. All linen is of hotel standard, white towels and bath mats are provided.

The large En-Suite master bedroom is wheelchair friendly with wet room.

Older children will have lots of fun and midnight feasts in the loft room which has 2 single beds.

The house has many distinct areas and even in wet weather, there is never a feeling of 'cabin fever'.

Inclusive heating is by a mixture of central heating and electric radiators. It also has solar panel heated hot water and photovoltaic cells on the roof. All logs and coal for the multi-fuel burner are included in the rental price.

Towels and beach towels are provided, along with buckets, spades and fishing nets for crabbing on Solva Quay.

The thoughtful owners have even provided a laptop and printer for guests to use, and peek inside the writing bureau in the sitting room to find birthday wrapping paper, pens and writing paper. Everything has been considered for guest's comfort and convenience in this superb holiday home.

Gwar Y Coed is an excellent choice for the whole family or groups of friends with varied accommodation and beautiful grounds, suiting everyone's needs. A 15-minute walk via the field takes you into the heart of Solva Village - the walk may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
