Set in the picturesque surroundings of the hills above the market town of Llanidloes, Y Bwthyn is a traditional detached stone cottage providing spacious accommodation for 4 people. All the amenities of the town are only about 6 miles away and the coast at Aberdyfi can be reached in less than an hour with an interesting drive over the mountains and along the estuary.
Beams are a predominant feature of the downstairs of the property and the living room has an open fire which enhances the cosy cottage feel of the property. The dining room has an electric fire and the spacious kitchen with stonewall and tiled floor has an electric cooker, under counter fridge and freezer, slim dishwasher and washing machine; oil central heating. Upstairs is the master double bedroom, two further single bedrooms and the bath/shower room. The gravelled patio with table and chairs and picnic bench is a lovely space for sitting outside and the lawned area is a great little space for kids to play with the whole garden being enclosed. There is also plenty of parking on the driveway of the cottage.
Situated in beautiful Mid Wales rural countryside, just a few miles away from Llyn Clywedog, you have the benefits of the peace and quiet of the countryside without being isolated and your relaxing won't be interrupted by any phone calls as there is no mobile reception. Llyn Clywedog is a man-made reservoir which offers sailing, fishing, surrounding bike and walking trails and plenty of opportunities for nature spotting. The village of Trefeglwys, with a pub, is home to the Mid Wales Shooting Centre for everything clay pigeon shooting and a few miles the other way, around the reservoir, is the Hafren Forest with waterfalls and waymarked paths, including one to the source of the River Severn.
