A beautifully appointed cedar clad cottage with character and charm situated amid some of the finest countryside in Wales. It is just 2 minutes on foot to the Offa’s Dyke footpath and some wonderful walks.. Ground Floor:
Living room: With wood burner, Freesat TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs and French doors leading to garden.
Dining room: With Freesat TV.
Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and vaulted ceiling.
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.
Bedroom 2: With double bed with single bunk above and single bed.
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.. First Floor:
Bedroom 3: With kingsize bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Fuel for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.. Enclosed garden with terrace, sitting-out area and garden furniture. BBQ. One pet welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are several steps within the ground floor of the property and it has a natural water supply from a borehole. . A beautiful and well-appointed detached property on the Welsh Marches, which is ideal for those who wish to enjoy exploring the delights of Shropshire and mid Wales. The quality interior is apparent throughout and makes for a relaxing break. The spacious living room features a wood burner, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine. From the living room, French doors open out onto the private garden boasting spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, making a perfect place for alfresco dining. There are many fine walks direct from the property, including along Offa’s Dyke, Kerry Ridgeway and the Shropshire Way.
Montgomery 6 miles is the nearest town and as well as being home to Montgomery Castle, Robbers Grave and Old Gaol, it is a small town bursting with life. It has a Michelin star restaurant, pubs, cafés and several individual and unique shops plus a weekly market. Nearby, there are further medieval and historic towns such as Bishops Castle with individual shops and quirky architecture, Shrewsbury with its famous abbey, Ludlow with a wide selection of tea rooms and eateries, Bridgnorth, home to the Severn Valley Railway, Ironbridge, the birthplace of industry, Welshpool with a selection of shops and the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway and Newtown are all close by. There are four National Trust properties in the surrounding area, Powys Castle, Attingham Park, Chirk Castle and Erddig. There are also a number of adventure centres offering a wide variety of activities such as quad biking, paintballing, ropes courses and abseiling. Shop 4½ miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
