What a fantastic location. Hidden away behind St Mary’s Church in the centre of Betws-y-Coed, Bryn Elsi is an ideal place for a holiday and has access to the garden from both floors. There’s a spacious living room with wood burner which opens into a dining room which opens into a cosy conservatory from where a door leads to the upper patio area. There are two bedrooms and the main bathroom on the ground floor, and downstairs on the lower ground floor are a further two bedrooms, one of which has direct access to the lower part of the garden. It’s a very private location too, just a few steps from the forest paths which lead up behind the church. There’s a lovely walk which leads you up into the forest towards the sparkling waters of Llyn Elsi, or you can hire a bike just around the corner to explore the forest by pedal power. There are numerous cafés and eating places within a couple of minutes’ walk, together with more outdoor shops.
Children will love the miniature railway at the Conwy Valley Railway Museum. There is a 9-hole golf club in the village, and you can even hear a Welsh male voice choir performing in the church on summer Sunday evenings. On the far side of the village, Zip World Fforest is the latest attraction, with a range of things for adrenaline junkies, from the Power Fan to the family friendly tree top nets and Fforest Coaster. The Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno and the historic town of Conwy are both just a short drive away offering a wide range of attractions, ranging from the majestic Conwy Castle and Bronze Age Copper Mines, to boat trips around the estuary and concerts and theatrical productions all year round at Venue Cymru Theatre. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
