Dolgellau provides a great base for exploring Snowdonia and there are great walks right from the doorstep. Mawddach Trail starts in Dolgellau and is a flat route along the estuary, leading to the popular seaside town of Barmouth, nine miles away. Other local attractions include Coed Y Brenin Visitor Centre which is great for walkers, runners and mountain-bikers, and a trip to Cadair Idris mountain is a must for all nature lovers, walkers and climbers. The village and gardens of Portmeirion is a 20 minute drive away; an enchanting Italianate style village on the coast of North Wales, ideal for a day out.

Outside: Small, enclosed patio area at the front of the cottage with a bistro set. A bike rack is available to secure bikes.
