From the moment you approach Pentrewern it is clear you are about to stay somewhere special. This beautiful barn conversion combines a traditional stone exterior with a stunning modern interior. The luxury holiday cottage is near Dolgellau and Coed-y-Brenin and has been well planned with an effort to minimise its impact on the environment. Pentrewern is situated adjacent to the owners' home amongst the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park.

On entering this boutique style barn, the brushed steel and glass contemporary stairway draws your eye up to the stunning bridge, which divides the two upstairs bedrooms. The large open plan ground floor has a very stylish contemporary log burning stove as a focal point, which rotates as you wish. The lounge has plush leather seating, a large flatscreen TV with Freeview, DVD and iPod docking station. The dining area has a large table and chairs to seat up to seven. The chic kitchen is fitted with a modern range cooker, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is a small bedroom on the ground floor with 4ft double bed and a ground floor shower room with basin and WC. An open-tread staircase leads to the two first floor bedrooms - one with a double and one with three single beds - and a bathroom with a contemporary free standing bath, basin and WC.

In the evenings, chic floor level outdoor lighting illuminates the attractive stone walling of the barn and the patio area where you are welcome to enjoy the chimnea. The barn is set in 1.25 acres of tranquil gardens with uninterrupted mountain views in every direction - a true rural retreat in Snowdonia. For mountain bike fans the property has secure bike storage. There is a purpose-built detached drying room with washing machine and parking for six cars.

Central heating is provided by an eco-friendly wood pellet fuelled boiler - both sustainable and 'carbon neutral'. Other environmental considerations include sewage and foul water plant that exceed European environmental standards.
