THE HAYLOFT sleeping up to 2 guests

This delightful little thatched property for two lies in the owners’ grounds in a surprisingly rural part of the Wirral Peninsula. Built of warm Cheshire stone, it makes a great location for exploring this lovely area. It’s within walking distance of the local pub serving food and there is a great choice of eateries in the nearby village of Irby. The Dee Estuary’s beach is just a mile away and there are plenty of walks available locally, including the beautiful Wirral Way, which runs from Hooton to West Kirby along the course of an old railway line. From West Kirby you can catch a train direct to the vibrant city of Liverpool, home of The Beatles and with so much to see and do - or visit historic Chester with its famous cathedral, city walls and unique shopping rows. Beach 1 mile. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with beams and wooden floor. Kitchen with breakfast area, beams and wooden floor. Shower room with toilet. Open-tread stairs to first floor: 1 double bedroom with sloping ceiling.

"The cottage was even better than we imagined. Can't fault it. Warm, cosy and with everything you could possible want."
    Anne
"The Hayloft was lovely it was really comfortable, but there were lots of cobwebs above head height and the shower silicone could do with a good clean or new applied but apart from that we had a lovely walk on the beach and in the town a lovely place for relaxation, the meals at both pubs where lovely and they sell Aspel cider which my partner was really pleased about."
    Pete
"Very cosy and comfortable cottage.Straight onto Thurstaston Common and numerous walks from cottage.Plenty of attractions a short drive away."
    Sarah
"We've just come back from a week at The Hayloft and it's was amazing. The ideal place to explore the Wirral and surrounding areas. Peaceful, tranquil and with everything you could need for a week away from home. We will definitely be going back there next year :)"
    Vaughan
"This is a lovely place to stay for 2 people. The owners were helpful and friendly. The modern sofa was trendy but not particularly comfortable to sit on. Lots of local walks along the beautiful Dee estuary and the Wirral peninsular has lots of interesting places to visit. The local pub food was excellent value."
    Ron
"Basic plumbing work needed attention and should have been dealt with by the owners."
    Janet
"Well located for what we wanted out of our holiday and very and comfortable to come back to after being out all day. We unfortunately had a bit of a problem with our car - but the owners were very helpful and we were soon mobile again! Would not hestiate to recommend to friends"
    Stephen
"Excellent conversion and well appointed. Excellent location for access to all areas of the Wirral. Only downside is height restriction in the bedroom area for tall people (I am 6ft) which necessitates stooping when going to bed / getting up / dressing."
    Syd
"Location is great - very easy to get around. The cottage is very quiet - cockerel didn't wake us up, but if one person is up it is difficult for anyone else to sleep in."
    Tracey
"Wonderful last minute getaway - so pleased to have found it. Owners very approachable and helpful. Surrounded by countryside and nature and with the ability to walk to a couple of pubs and be in a city within a 35 min train ride. Absolutely ideal."
    Louise
"Lovely place, great location and lovely, friendly people who own it. Would definitely recommend."
    Graham
"A perfectly pleasant little hideaway for 2. Very charming. Some better cutlery is in order, and an adequate supply of toilet roll is a basic (we had to go out and buy some!)The password given to us for wireless connection did not work at all (apparently incorrect!!)Aside from that lovely location, charming chickens and good places to eat and drink nearby. Chester accessible by car and bus."

"Lovely cottage. Cosy and comfortable. Quiet location but Pubs and places to eat not too far away.WiFi not so good."
    Melanie
"Very nice cottage in good location, well equipped, only downside was slight issue with the WiFi, could not connect to designated and alternative one had poor signal."
    Confirmed guest
"Brill place to stay and some loves places around the area lovely wood fires in a pub called anchor Inn just across the field it's brill definitely recommend it"
    Ron
"A real gem of a place, the owners Jonathan and Kim are a lovely couple who go out of their way to help if you have any questions. The location for walking the dog is perfect, and the surrounding area is a real eye opener. We would say it is one of the best locations for a chill out as you can visit so many interesting places. Chester, Liverpool are all easily reached by bus or train. My wife and I will be returning in the future with Oscar the dog for another great stay."

"A great little cottage in a great place 5 mins drive from the beach and with places to eat and drink within easy walking distance."
    Cecilia
"An excellent property for a couple. The whole space is well designed and the situation was excellent for exploring Chester, the Wirral and Liverpool. The owner's advice was very helpful and they were excellent hosts. The chickens did not disturb us at all. The only points we would ask for is a corkscrew and a hook to hang clothes on inside the bathroom."
    Brenda
"We had a great time and there was everything we needed in the cottage. We were impressed. The only criticism I have was that that bed was uncomfortable."
    Anthony
"Very enjoyable despite the weather !!"
