As a touring base there is a lot to see close by - Grantham is only 4 miles, the National Trust Belton House with its deer park is less than 2 miles away, Stamford, home of the famous Burghley Horse Trials, 35 minutes’ drive, the city of Lincoln, well known for its cathedral and castle is 35 minutes’ drive to the north, and if you fancy a day out at Rutland Water, it is 45 minutes’ drive away.  If you stay local there are very good walks and cycle routes from the cottage with a popular. . .
