This well-presented, semi-detached bungalow is situated in the attractive south Lakeland village of Levens. Situated on the edge of the Lyth Valley with a backdrop of Whitbarrow Scar, close to Milnthorpe Sands and the estuary, this property is in a fantastic location for friends or a small family to explore the area. The accommodation is light and airy and has a contemporary feel with two lovely bedrooms. Stretch out on the comfortable corner settee in the sitting room and enjoy a coffee whilst relaxing in front of the modern flame-effect fire. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a dining room where the group can gather together with a meal to discuss the next day’s plans. In Levens you can sample local ales and food at the Hare and Hounds inn on your doorstep or have alfresco refreshments back at the cottage. There are many attractions close by including Levens Hall with its gardens laid out in the 1690s, world-famous topiary and the first ever ha-ha garden. You can also walk from this cottage to Sizergh Castle with its beautiful house, gardens, farm shop and café. Close by on the estuary peninsula are the pretty coastal villages of Arnside and Silverdale. Both of these are designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are prolific for wildlife, especially butterflies. They have fabulous scenery and lakes and are part of the coastal cycle way. Also close by is the elegant town of Grange-over-Sands where you can get a train to explore the local west coast. Just a couple of miles inland from here is the gastro village of Cartmel, home to sticky toffee pudding. This picturesque historic village also houses a racecourse, a beautiful old priory and lovely pubs and restaurants. The old market and festival town of Kendal is only a 15 minute drive with its array of amenities, including shops, galleries, museums and strolling along the river Kent. From here Windermere is also close by with all the Lakeland activities on offer. This lovely comfortable cottage is ideally situated to explore the beautiful Lakes and surrounding area whatever the time of year.

Levens is a small traditional Cumbrian village set on a high promontory in beautiful countryside and ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. The village has a lovely old church, general store/newsagent and a pub.
