Head outside and relax in the enclosed patio area while taking in the idyllic surroundings, with only the occasional passing train to disturb the peace and quiet, this is a narrow guage stream railway that only runs through the day. Coltishall is a small village but offers the essential amenities including a number of good pubs serving food, a village shop, a butcher’s and petrol station. Avid walkers can take advantage of the network of varied footpaths and walks in Horstead and the nearby Norfolk Broads, home to the 61 mile Weaver’s Way footpath which passes through a diverse landscape of woodland, mixed farmland and disused railway lines.
