Kirkby Stephen is a bustling market town resting at the foot of he Howgill Fells in the upper Eden Valley, between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Within the town you will find a selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs for every taste and budget, as well as a picnic area where “Frank’s Bridge” crosses the River Eden. Within the surrounding area, you will find many excellent walks and cycle routes nearby, particularly the route of the old Darlington to Tebay train line over two magnificent viaducts.
