We enjoyed the lovely big sociable kitchen diner, just the job for sitting round the table at the end of a day out walking. Nice to have the dishwasher but really missed not having the cutlery rack. Plenty of cups, crockery and cutlery though which was great. comfy beds, second bedroom a bit tight but we managed by putting the suitcase in the bunk room. Front porch a definite plus on rainy days for muddy boots, a couple of coat hooks in there would be good...in the end we kind of relayed them through to behind the bathroom door!

Four of us and 3 dogs were comfortable and enjoyed the spacious kitchen/diner. Having two bathrooms was excellent! The yard was sufficient for the dogs because there were many walks from the front door. We didn't venture up to the top terrace as the weather was too cold to sit outside but would have made use of it otherwise. The yard was more sheltered so the table and chairs were appreciated. The village community feel and friendliness was a delight (especially the cafe across the road!) I didn't want to find any negatives but have to mention that while the range cooker is great, two baking trays and the grill pan were uncleaned, coated with baked on congealed fat and oil so we had to spend some time cleaning them before use. Otherwise the utilities were fine. A few cleaning products would help. The household waste bin had not been emptied so our waste was still in the kitchen bin when we left, sorry. Simple remedies. We would like to have had a few coat/dog lead hooks in the porch area. We would definitely recommend this property and will be booking again as it was simple, perfectly positioned in beautiful surroundings, for walking or driving out and parking on the road was not an issue.

The location of the cottage is good within a pretty village. The tearooms over the road was very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed & the oven & range was good. We did feel that there was a little room for improvement in the furnishings. The sofa throws were very tired looking & we were glad we had brought our own. The towels were very old & rough & we didn’t want to use them. The beds were very small which we found a problem & we're not particularly large people! No hairdryer or shaving plug point. All in all a nice stay but probably needs a little updating.
