The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th Century church with "Crooked Spire", twisting curiously from its true centre, while the frequent bustling market days are ideal for exploring the many different specialist shops and stalls which line the old Market Hall and charming Shambles beyond. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its boating lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. An interesting base for a break exploring the Peak District.

It is just far from local shops. Would love to stay whenever I book my holidays again very pleasant stay.

Would highly recommend for couples as it was cosy stay in the middle of nowhere. It was very clean and tidy, plenty of on site facilities for cooking etc. Only gripe was the internet/wifi but as I say it was for work purposes so needed a good internet connection. Overall very satisfied with my stay

The cottage was really well laid out as a comfortable, social space. As mentioned in the ad, we brought our own firelighters, kindling and logs and were able to have a lovely fire to make the downstairs a wonderful place. Oh and we were welcomed with some biscuits and a bottle of wineâ¦which was a nice surprise! The owners were just round the corner if you need them, but were not intrusive. Loved the beautiful location as well. Great little cottage on the edge of the Peak District!
