This traditional barn adjoining the owner’s home is set in the stunning Cotswold countryside and has been wonderfully renovated, retaining many of its original features while adding a contemporary feel.
The property is set just outside the picturesque village of Long Compton which has a local well stocked shop.Wander around this glorious village, admiring the 13th century church and well renowned two story, half-timbered, lynch gate. Afterwards stop off for a friendly pint at the Red Lion pub.
For the more outdoors there are ample wonderful walks in the surrounding areas including the Macmillan Cross Cotswold Pathway. If not, travel a little further afield and spend the day at Lechlade Trout Fisheries or Cotswold Wildlife Park which is perfect for all ages.
In close proximity you will find the famous market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Norton all with an abundance of lovely local shops. Additionally, you can discover the medieval town of Burford which boasts an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and galleries. You could also treat yourself and visit Daylesford Organic Farm Shop in Kingham.
For something different you can visit the spectacular Blenhiem Palace and the historic town of Woodstock, wander around and admire the break-taking architecture in Oxford while punting down the river, Batsford Arboretum, Britain’s most visited arboretum, the National Trust’s Chastleton House or Stratford-upon-Avon with the world famous Royal Shakespeare.
