  Described as nestled in St Agnes , it was sited before the sign that proclaimed the town itself and beside a busy road.

  It is a beautiful barn conversion and I understand planning rules have to be adhered to, however lighting could be improved. It is very fashionable slightly at the expense of comfort, I like upright seating. Also all in one room living means xtra planning when using washing machine and cooking as unable to hear telly or each other. Bad leak in door of shower in bathroom. Perhaps some sort of gate at top of stairs would ensure child and dog safety. Giant bath towels too big to wrap hair in to prevent a soaking and only realised on last day you could tilt shower head to avoid torrent. My 28 year older daughter absolutely loved everything about it however. Love the town of St Agnes and the many super walks and interesting attractions , museum especially informative. Thankyou for most useful welcome pack, and very comfortable beds Had a ground floor property with its own outside space been available when we booked I suspect our experience would have been more positive.

  We have returned to beacon barn for a number of years now.

  The location on the edge of St Agnes is a great place from which to tour around Cornwall. Very clean, very comfortable and very pet friendly. Small communal garden at the front which we find great for our dogs. No good though if you need an enclosed garden. Great walks from the doorstep, two footpaths close by. Have to cross a usy road to get to one and walk for a short while to get to another. Fantastic beach of Chapel Porth close by. Can take dogs on in September. Lots of amenities close by. We found cottages closer in to st agnes can be a bit noisy. We were disappointed this year however as the seal had gone on the shower in the main bathroom. We couldn't use it atall even though we asked the maintenance people to fix it on the first day we arrived.

  A gorgeous, comfortable, clean barn.

  We got used to the fast traffic but it did take a few nights. As the week went by, listed below are a few recommendations for an even more comfortable stay.: Would have loved a caffatiere or coffee machine to have been available. A mat inside the front door would be useful for taking dirty shoes off or drying down wet dogs esp if it’s raining and you can’t do it outside. Some blinds/ curtains on the main windows would be useful as our dogs woke with the 4.30 am dawn chorus as it was so light. We had a fabulous week, the weather was great and we were able to explore the beautiful coast and footpaths. We would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.   Fab location!

  Porthtowan is a little gem and Gecko Beach was very well positioned - great to just walk out onto the beach and be so close to wonderful coastal walks! There's all you need in Porthtowan with a few good restaurants (Blue Bar really relaxed and fun) and brilliant village shop. The fish and chip place next to village shop is fantastic!!! (Just be sure to book collection online early). And Porthtowan is a great place from which to explore Cornwall! The apartment was lovely, very well equipped and comfortable. We appreciated a few treats on arrival! Only downside for us were the bedroom blinds in the bedroom let too much light in - recommend blackout blinds or thicker curtains. Overall a fantastic & relaxing holiday, thank you

  Really enjoyed our Christmas stay at beacon barn.

  A few small things that were a bit below par. 1 needed wine glasses, corkscrew etc and had to message the owner. They arrived the next day so no a massive problem but I thought that better quality would be more in keeping with the standard of the barn. The new corkscrew didn't look much better than the old one. 2. The 2nd bedroom is cramped when 2 adults and 2 kids in there. We ended up swapping rooms so we could get a good night sleep. 3.stairs up to barn are slippery in the bad weather. Perhaps a good clean would be in order. Don't get me wrong we had a great time and st agnes is lovely. Just somethings I would like to know if I were the owner.
