About this property

Resting at the heart of the market town of St Austell in Cornwall is Miners Cottage, new to Sykes for summer 2023. This delightful, white-washed holiday home benefits from a fabulous location close to all of the town’s amenities, the breath-taking Cornish coast and a whole host of attractions as well as ample off-road parking, an enclosed garden and three well-appointed bedrooms; the perfect dwelling for families or friends looking to explore Cornwall with two of their beloved canine companions. Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and head into the sitting room to unwind in front of the Smart TV. Later, step into the fully-equipped kitchen where you can help rustle up delicious meals that the whole family can enjoy at the dining table in the conservatory. If the sun is shining, why not enjoy the meal alfresco style out on the patio or simply savour the last of the evening with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand. When stars appear overhead, travel to the first floor to wash off the day’s adventures in the sleek shower room ahead of catching your rest in either a double, a small double or the single bedroom. During the day, discover the centre of St Austell where you can stock up on all of the necessities at local stores or supermarkets; there are also a plethora of pubs and restaurants should you need a break from the kitchen. The coast is also within reach at Charlestown where you can admire breath-taking views across the azure, take leisurely strolls around the harbour or enjoy dinner with a view at The Longstore. Other notable, nearby attractions include the famous Eden Project with its education, tropical biomes, the Wheal Martyn Clay Works and the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan. Iconic coastal towns and villages like Newquay, Mevagissey, Fowey and Perranporth are all also within driving distance, each offering something for everyone! Make unforgettable memories at Miners Cottage.

St. Austell has a mainline train station, which provides quick and easy access to Truro and further south to Penzance, as well as a wide selection of pubs and taverns serving delicious local cuisine. You can also take the train to Newquay, with a simple transfer at Par. St. Austell, Cornwall, is ideally situated for a trip to the rest of the Southwest. Plan fascinating day trips to The Eden Project or the adjacent historical port of Charlestown, where you can visit the Shipwreck Treasure Museum to discover artefacts found from local ship wrecks. Take a stroll down Porthpean Beach's silky sands or rent a kayak and paddle the area's serene, crystal-clear waters before indulging in some spa time at The Clearing or playing a round of golf at the St. Austell Golf Club. Slightly confusing when first arriving on where it is but minor detail. Owners lovely and provided great welcome items.

The accommodation is wonderful and the owners are very welcoming and left a lovely gift basket of goodies for us which was a nice touch. There are plenty of places to visit and only 17miles across country to the other coast.
