Set in glorious farmland down a tree-lined private drive close to Shakespeare’s River Avon, each of these delightful adjoining properties (S15943 Ref: NMA and Troilus Ref: NMB) has been restored by professional architect design to offer a holiday retreat for all seasons. The interiors have been converted in a contemporary manner whilst retaining their original charm, including their attractive exposed beams.
S15943 (NMA) is ideal for a family holiday as it has a double and twin bedrooms. It has a beamed open plan kitchen/ living/dining area with patio doors to the terrace. The double bedroom has a 5ft bed and there is also a twin bedroom, ideal for the kids! Troilus (NMB) retains its character with a beamed open-plan living/dining area and a modern kitchen. A mix of old and new throughout, the spacious conversion has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin. Ideal for families or a group of friends wishing for a relaxing break. Light and airy, the views from the terrace stretch across the owner’s fields and give it a real secluded feel. Perfect for a few drinks in the evening! Both properties can be booked individually or together for larger groups, and as they are only 2 miles from the M40, they can be reached easily from the north or south making them ideal for family holidays, reunions etc.

Both have terraces which have views across the owner’s fields and an abundance of local wildlife, such as the friendly sheep, rabbits, hares, foxes, buzzards and Monkjack to name a few. If you love getting close to nature this is the ideal place for you! Not far from the local amenities, you can also explore the sights of nearby Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Royal Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Coventry (City of Culture 2021). All have a variety of excellent restaurants, interesting specialist shopping, museums and sights such as Warwick Castle, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Birmingham’s NEC, hosting a multitude of events, The National Motor Museum and 10 National Trust properties within a 45-minute drive. Warwick Parkway railway station is 4 ½ miles to take the train to London, 80 minutes, and Birmingham, 23 minutes. Beautiful walks from the Barns and cycling (adjacent Cycle Way 41). Golf, tennis and riding available locally. Shops 3½ miles, pub 2½ miles.

    "The former barn has been converted tastefully. Disappointed that there was no CD player or radio. 'Welcome Pack' comprised a small number of tea bags and a little jar of sugar. We had brought some resources of our own but a cup of coffee whilst we unpacked would have been welcome. Also disappointed that we had to buy a toilet roll before we left. Rural location was very peaceful and we enjoyed watching the harvest being collected."

    "Basic cottage which just about suited our needs. Very compact bathroom for a family of 4 and unfortunately for us the WiFi was out for the duration of our stay and with no mobile signal, made planning day trips for the kids difficult. If you're a stickler for cleanliness then it might not be for you. Lovely location, but we were put off slightly by an abundance of Midges and Mosquitos, due to adjacent fields of long grass (nothing the owner could do about this), but this made dining outside and leaving doors and windows open a no no."

    "Idyllic spot down a pretty country lane. Super cottages - we hired both for our daughters wedding party and they were a great cosy spacious retreat. Both barnshave wonderful barn features with lots of space and lovely views over the fields. Loved them and would highly recommend them."
    "Very basic and tired looking cottage and definitely not worth the price we paid. In need of a good clean. Lots of grubby finger marks on cupboards and doors. Some of the kitchen equipment needed cleaning before it could be used and some were unusable, such as the roasting tin which was covered in rust. It appears that the owners are relying solely on location, which was the only redeeming feature, but there were far too many negatives to outweigh this.We've stayed in several holiday cottages over the past few years and this was by far the worst."

    "This cottage is idyllically located within easy reach of both Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. The setting is wonderfully rural but cottage itself has been recently modernised to the highest standard. We loved the cottage and hope to stay there again soon to explore more of this delightful part of England. April 2009."
