Clean, tidy and well equiped. Good communication from the owers on how to access the property. We feel that a proper shower would be better as we found the bath small. Also some blinds at the patio doors in the kitchen would be nice. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend to anybody else.

It is charming and tranquil. We found it extremely comfortable and well appointed. The owners communicate thoroughly; everything is straightforward and clear. The welcome biscuits and drinks were delicious and generous. We loved our stay. ❤️

The location is perfect, sitting in the kitchen seeing so many birds coming and going in the garden was magical. We enjoyed trips out to Whitby, Scarborough, Thornton-le-Dale and Pickering. We ate at Cedar Farm Barn, a farm shop only ten minutes in the car just slightly past Thornton-le-Dale. It has a lovely children’s play area outside. We enjoyed playing in the park at Snainton too, again only a couple of minutes in the car. Fish and chips at Walkers, again only ten minutes away in East Ayton. Best fish and chips I have ever had. SO tasty. The cottage is very well stocked with fluffy towels, the kitchen is well supplied and the treats left for us were very much appreciated. The bathroom is in desperate need of a lick of paint. We really missed having a guest book here, we love arriving, settling in with a drink and having a look through at peoples recommendations. It’s just not the same doing it online. Our little boy loves to write his name at the end of our stay too. Family recommendations are always really helpful so it’s a big shame there’s no book in the cottage. We were also unable to watch tv a lot of the time because the signal wouldn’t maintain itself. Nobody’s fault but frustrating at the same time. Owners apologetic when I updated them, but again had been disappointing.
