Ideal for 2. Clean comfortable and well equipped. Private parking was a bonus too.

The owners really care about the comfort of their guests and go the extra mile to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. We would really recommend Applewood Cottage for the peace and quiet of the place and so handy and central for getting out and about around the North Yorkshire Moors.

The garden, having a rather end of season look at the moment, has some very interesting planting and must look really nice in spring and summer. The cottage is situated on the very edge of the village and outside overlooks farmland. You can walk around the perimeter of the village on metalled roads passing the old mill and duckpond (complete with ducks!), church, and the two village pubs as well as many thatched cottages. A glance at the map will show the castles, abbeys and gardens etc. close by. And of course the superb North York Moors. On a clear night the dark skies are amazing. A great place for a really relaxing holiday!
