A lovely village with an excellent pub a short walk away. Lots of historically interesting places within a short drive.

It is the perfect location to explore North Yorkshire and we were so lucky with the weather too - wall to wall sunshine. The cottage is lovely and beautifully furnished and the owner Liz left a really thoughtful welcome package for us when we arrived - milk, butter, freshly baked bread, jam etc. She welcomed us personally and also popped round to wish us a safe journey home. The bed was so comfortable that even during the hot weather we got a great night's sleep. Special mention must also go to the beautiful garden to the rear of the property. It was a real oasis in the evenings with lots of shady corners to sit in. Coxwold is a very pretty, well kept village. Liz's tearoom and B&B is adjacent to the cottage and there is a pub with great food in the village (2 minutes walk). I'd definitely recommend the cottage and we will definitely return.

Once we had had the wood burner on for 2 nights it wasn't too bad. There is a damp patch in the bedroom also. Quite noisy from the tea rooms next door. The adjoining door upstairs into the house next door with the flimsy catch on it was rather wierd !! No hoover No bathrobes Very very comfy bed though Be prepared if staying in the colder nights all the heating is controlled from next door and the wood burner, although lovely, is expensive to have on, roughly £10 a night. All the windows downstairs are painted shut
