Gormire Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, thoughtful touches like Prosecco and biscuits, and the wildlife views. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, but overall, the cottage offers a peaceful and enjoyable stay with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage receives glowing remarks for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its tidy and well-presented state. A single mention of unclean cutlery slightly impacts the score, but the overall impression remains overwhelmingly positive.
The location is celebrated for its idyllic setting and proximity to countryside walks and attractions. The peaceful environment and wildlife sightings contribute to the high score, although there is a single mention of difficulty in finding the property.
Guests consistently note the comfort of the cottage, mentioning the quality of the beds and furniture. The spaciousness and cosy atmosphere, including a log burner, add to the comfort level, ensuring a restful stay.
Facilities are generally well-received, with special mentions of the pool table and well-equipped kitchen. However, points are deducted for minor maintenance issues like a broken bin pedal and a leaky shower, as well as suggestions for a larger fridge and bathroom updates.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the welcome gifts and extra touches, which are highly appreciated by guests. It is politely noted that while such gestures are mentioned, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

What a find. No one could not enjoy their stay here. The property is of a high standard throughout, very clean and a great deal of care has been taken in its presentation. One of the best we have stayed in over 30 years. The description of the property under sells it and a number of key aspects are missing from the listing. There is a washing machine, large modern Smart TV, bath in one of the bathrooms, (we nearly did not book as grandad likes a bath) hairdryer in each bedroom, both bedrooms just have room for a blow up bed for a child to sleep, we took our own. Lots of room for a travel cot in both bedrooms. There is a hose in the garden to clean down the bikes, whilst Sutton Bank is only a few miles away (mountain bike heaven) Although in a rural location the WiFi was excellent all week. Well kept garden and small patio outside the kitchen door which we assume would be is lovely to sit in during the summer months. The national birds or prey centre and Thirsk birds of prey are both short drives away. Both are excellent. The owner was very quick to reply to our text and was very helpful. We would highly recommend this property. Kevin, Debbie, Thomas and Grandad.

It was also a lovely surprise to receive the welcome gift of Prosecco and biscuits. We could not recommend this property more highly. A couple of comments (Not to be published) The washing machine was extremely useful and should be included in the description. There are no shaver sockets or cupboards in the bathrooms. The tin opener didnât work very well and needs replacement.

Very spacious and confortable. Situated in quiet and scenic place and close to country and coastal attractions. Had a lovely holiday here. Was disappointed that paintwork had been damaged by previous guests in such a lovely property.
