Bedroom 2: With twin beds. .  Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included.  Welcome pack.  External utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. .  Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture.  On road parking, 50 yards away.  No smoking.  Please note: There are several sets of steep, narrow, uneven steps in garden. .  Anchor Cottage is situated in a unique location in Pittenweem, one of the prettiest fishing ports in the East Neuk of Fife.  Accessed by stone stairs, the cottage originally formed part of the Crown and Anchor public house which was built in the early 1800s into part of the boundary wall of Pittenweem Priory, an Augustinian monastery, dating back to the 12th century, and built over a sacred cave associated with St Fillan.  You can still visit St Fillan’s Cave with its holy well in Cove Wynd.  Some time around the middle of the last century, the house was divided into three properties, one of which is now Anchor Cottage. 

Anchor Cottage is a welcoming holiday cottage with a cosy open plan living area, perfect for relaxing after a day on the beach.  The double bedroom on the second floor has a great view of the harbour. 

The cottage is just a short walk away from the harbour side where you can watch the fishing boats unloading their catch and buy freshly caught fish and shell fish from a stall on the harbour.
