"Great setting and lovely place. The only thing holding it back from a 10 is the fold out bed which is not very comfortable. Other than that the perfect place."
    Carol – 10 Mar 2018
"Beautiful place. Clean home from home. Owners welcomed us then left us alone. Been twice will go again. Quiet but only 5 mins from local town. Everything spot on."
    Karolina – 12 Feb 2018
"Great small cottage - good base for visiting Glasgow. Peaceful and quiet area. Very clean. Pros - clean, quiet, great value for money, location.Cons - bathroom really cold in winter - living room very hot, no dishwasher, busy road just outside."
    Sam – 27 Jan 2018
"Nice little cottage with all the basic facilities you would need. Nice homely feel and a good location to base yourself from to discover the area. Biggar down the road is a nice vibrant town with good local shops."
    Ashley & Shiree – 2 Jan 2018
"We enjoyed our 10 night stay at S23531. This was our second visit to thee cottage and will return again in the future."
    Sandra – 21 Oct 2017
"My husband and I stayed here in October with our two dogs. I used to live in Newlanark so was visiting my sister and the area. Cottage was so comfortable and in a good location. We would definitely be returning in the future."
    Sam – 7 Oct 2017
"Lovely cottage. The owners are very friendly. Lovely location"
    Carol – 23 Sep 2017
"Absolutely outstanding. Everything we wanted and more. Welcomed by owner then left alone but knew where they were if needed. Would definately go again."
    Linda – 16 Sep 2017
"The cottage itself is lovely and very comfortable. The only downside was the fact that we weren't prepared for it to be on such a main road, and first thing in the morning (if you're not used to much traffic) the stream of commuters presumably heading into Edinburgh from about 6:30 onwards was not ideal. That said, if you want a base to be able to head into Edinburgh and Glasgow, then this is very well placed while being well out of both cities. We personally wouldn't stay again because our three dogs found the laminate flooring in the lounge/kitchen very slippery and got quite distressed at not being able to stay on their paws - something other dog owners might want to be aware of."

"Really neat and tidy cottage, road a bit noisy but overall an enjoyable stay"
    Richard

"S23531 was perfect for my requirements. Cottage is beautiful especially the en-suite bathroom. Plenty of walks for the dogs. Good value for money. 1 of the best I have stayed in. The only drawback is the main road is very busy. Will definatley return."
    Peter
"Great place to stay. It may be on A road but you wouldn't know you on it. It so quite and relaxing. Hardly any traffic. Plenty space to park. When the sky clear at night great view of the stars. Scenery is great on a clear day. Will be going back again we found a great place to stay as our daughter lives in lanark"
    Sarah
"We stopped here for 4 nights on the way to Oban and had a great time. It's a great location for exploring the borders. We hadn't realised how lovely the the area is and what a lot there is to do and see. The cottage had everything we needed and was situated just outside of the market town of Biggar."
    Chris
"Me and my partner had a fantastic time. Very welcoming cottage and it felt like home after just a few short hours. Perfectly located for exploring the lowlands, and easy to make trips to Edinburgh and Glasgow."

    Faye
    "Fantastic location, very comfortable."
    Loudon
"We enjoyed our brief stay, we were very comfortable and would be happy to book a longer break at this cottage in the future. Coming from distance, North Wales it is easy to get to from the M74 and is very well located for touring a large and varied surrounding area. As keen hillwalkers, the area offered us access to many parts of the Southern Uplands, the Pentland Hills and the nearby isolated peak of Tinto. The World Heritage site, New Lanark is within easy reach and leads to the scenic walk along the Falls of Clyde. Glasgow and Edinburgh are within easy motoring distance or can be reached by train to get right to the centre without any city driving or parking hassle. We should happily come back to explore more of the area. Shops were no distance away in Biggar and there were many options for eating out within easy reach."
    Ian
"In need of WiFi as the area lacks any mobile internet signal!"
    Roy
"Cottage was well equipped and ideally located for getting about."
    Jean
"This was a very comfortable and clean cottage but if only the owners would think of the little things like a hook behind the bathroom door, a light over the bathroom mirror, a larger television screen, a decent potato peeler and a curtain over the skylight in the bedroom (the daylight woke us up at 5am every morning). In spite of all this it was a very comfortable and clean cottage and we would definitely stay there again."
    Peter
"Perfectly situated for visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow and many places of interest in between. Our first visit to Scotland and we were not disappointed with this lovely cottage. Friendly helpful owners who farm just across the road."
    Jackie
