About this property

Haverfordwest 2.8 miles, Broad Haven 4.5 miles. This converted barn sits in a quiet position in the hamlet of Dreenhill, near the Pembrokeshire coast. Offering homely accommodation, 1 The Barn welcomes families and friends looking to explore the scenic county of Pembrokeshire. Step through to the kitchen, where the designated chef can dust off those cooking books and rustle up something tasty, equipped with a range of appliances and even a washing machine and dishwasher for your convenience. Then look forward to curling up beside the woodburning stove, catching up on your favourite shows or simply chatting away into the night. If you’re looking for the ultimate way to relax, sink into the spacious hot tub on the patio and gaze up to the starry sky. As you look to catch some shut eye, upstairs there are three wonderfully presented bedrooms, including the master with a king-size bed, bunk beds and a delightful single. Completing the interior is the tiled family bathroom, complete with bath and shower over so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. If you fancy a day of sunbathing and swimming, the glorious beaches of Newgale, Broad Haven and Little Haven are all within a short drive so you have plenty of options, plus there’s even boat trips out to Skomer and Ramsey Islands to enjoy the best that nature can offer. Walkers and cyclists will be drawn to the scenic Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, spanning across 186 miles of picturesque coastal and countryside settings, perfect for wildlife spotting amongst the coves and clifftops. The friendly town of Haverfordwest provides further amenities, including a bustling weekly Farmers Market where you can gather local produce and goods. Then travel across the Cleddau Bridge and walk back in time to the birthplace of the Tudor Dynasty at magnificent Pembroke Castle and travel down towards popular Tenby with its award-winning beaches. 1 The Barn promises a welcoming retreat, whatever time of year.

Haverfordwest (Hwlffordd in Welsh) is Pembrokeshire's county town, featuring beautiful tiny gift shops, bars, restaurants, tea rooms, and a thriving nightlife. Haverfordwest, located at the mouth of the Cleddau River, is a terrific day trip for the whole family, with its castle, museum, and vast recreational complex. Explore castles, relax on magnificent sandy beaches, walk parts of the full coastal route, and visit Folly Farm, the local trampoline park, the Dinosaur Experience, and the thrills and spills of Oakwood Theme Park and Bluestone Water Park from this ideal holiday base. The location made places easy to get too as well. The only recommendations we have , would be to secure an outside light that stays on whilst you are in the hot tub, as the security light wasn’t enough when you were sat in it, and there as only one light in hot tub too. The area on a night time is really dark, with no street lighting and very quiet, so walking the dog , we would have benefited with a torch , this could be an investment for other people who stay. Luckily for us, we brought lots of wood for the log burner due to us staying for a week , however I’d say to make sure it’s on the advertisement so that people are fully aware to bring there own or perhaps make arrangements when they arrive.

Good location for exploring the area with lots of places to visit within a reasonable drive. The hot tub was a bonus at the end of a day out. All in all i can highly recommend the barn

The beaches are only a short drive away and if you fancy a quiet day the kids were kept entertained with hot tub which was a bonus! The owners were super helpful and even had a folder with lots of ideas on things to do, restaurants, days out etc.
