About this property

Narberth 1.4 miles. Settled amidst the Pembrokeshire countryside on a farm, on the outskirts of Narberth is this delightful, semi-detached holiday home of The Cottage. A quaint base for a family of four's holiday, The Cottage enjoys easy access to the rural delights of the Preseli Hills whilst also being close to a range of gorgeous bases. Two off-road parking spaces greet you on arrival, where you can park up before soaking up the charming views. Venture inside and be welcomed by a living/dining room, where leather sofas offer you a seat in front of the TV, where you can enjoy Freeview channels together. Make your way across the ground floor to the kitchen, where cream units with wooden worktops offer a budding chef all the appliances they need to fix up delectable dinners. These dinners can be enjoying in the living/dining room or taken out to the delightful garden, where the views provide the perfect backdrop. As day turns to night, head upstairs and retire to one of the two tastefully furnished bedrooms, a double and a twin. Both bedrooms enjoy access to a bathroom which is tiled throughout, whilst offering soothing soaks in the bath with overhead shower. Make the most of the garden during the sunny weather, where the kids can play on the lawn to their heart's content; alternatively, you can explore the farm and visit the sweet animals, at the owner's discretion. Embark on a short drive into Narberth, a historic town offering award-winning shops, where you can pick up local wares, as well as fantastic eateries, including the renowned Peppercorn Restaurant & Grill; the town also hosts the remains of Narberth Castle and a fascinating museum, where you can let out your inner historian! Nearby, plenty of family-friendly attractions can be found, such as Oakwood Theme Park, for an exhilarating day out, the wonderful Folly Farm, and the Blue Stone Blue Lagoon Water Park, with the latter being a must-see during the summertime! Why not travel to Tenby, a town ensuring an amazing day out, with its gorgeous beaches perfect for sunbathing and watersports, Tenby Golf Club offering games of eighteen-holes, and the harbour offering boat trips to Caldey Island? Be sure to explore the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, where plenty more beaches and coastal sights await, from those of Saundersfoot to St Davids. Treat your loved ones to a wonderful break at The Cottage.

It's a joy to explore the town of Narberth, which is full of interesting boutiques, delicatessens, and gift shops, as well as restaurants, bistros, and pubs, all within walking distance of one another. Throughout the year, Queen's Hall, Narberth's culture and artistic centre, presents a variety of concerts, plays, and other events. You can also visit beautiful sandy beaches like Barafundle Bay, or enjoy a walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Path.

I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

There is a beautiful garden which gave our young son room to run around. Our hosts gave us homegrown tomatoes on our first day which was very kind. The cottage was clean if a little outdated. We found the double bed to be too firm so we bought a memory foam topper. The mattresses in child's room were uncomfortable and springy. We adapted by putting the quilt under our son. We found it difficult to cope without a washing machine with a toddler in the middle of toilet training also. But it was in a peaceful location. We thought the owners could consider installing a washing machine and dishwasher in the future, and upgrading the TV to a smart TV.
