About this property

Nestled in a quiet corner of Skegness, just over a mile away from the town centre, is this lovely semi-detached cottage. With views of fresh green countryside from the enclosed garden at the rear, yet within easy reach of sandy shores and the colourful promenade, number 10 St. Vincent Close offers the perfect location. The front door leads to a small porchway and into the living room. Here, you can relax among a palette of muted colours and tasteful furnishings, before gathering around the dining table for your evening meal. The sun room is filled with light, perfect for taking yourself off for a quiet read. A door leads out to the garden, which wraps itself right around the back of the cottage, allowing for a perfect family or couple retreat. Make your way through to the kitchen, where stylish white units counterbalance sleek worktops. The two charming bedrooms are situated on the same floor, accompanied by a neutrally designed bathroom with a bath tub and a shower. The small single room adjoins another small conservatory, which has a curtain you can pull across for privacy, or you can leave it open and fill the room with natural light. There is also access from here to the rear garden, where a mixture of pebbled and paved areas play host to a collection of plant pots and lush shrubbery clustered together. Sit on the sunny garden furniture, shaded by the parasol, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and a close encounter with nature's wildlife. Views stretch out towards the back fields, where deer and cows come right up to the fence to greet you - you may even be lucky enjoy to see a fox!. There are many attractions close by and a bus stop about five-minutes walk away will take you straight into Skegness, if you wish to leave the car at home. You can enjoy an array of indoor and outdoor activities to suit all tastes, including a fun filled day at the amusements along the pier, or exploring the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. The aviation museum and Natureland seal sanctuary are among various other popular attractions. There are also many historic market towns in the surrounding area to explore from this homely base.

Skegness offers a Blue Flag beach with a sandy shoreline, and an attractive promenade, as well as an array of outdoor and indoor attractions. Visit Natureland seal sanctuary and animal centre, Captain Kids Adventure World and Jolly Roger golfing with the kids; there is also a traditional funfair. A wide variety of shops and cafés fill the town centre, along with a vibrant nightlife. Just a little further along the coastline is the resort of Ingoldmells, home to Fantasy Island adventure park, and the largest outdoor market in Europe along with yet more beach for you to enjoy.

Very quiet estate. Secure parking. Comfortable beds. We slept very well. Good seating. WiFi good. Quality smart TV. Cosy and warm. Good shower but not suitable for those with limited mobility. Very dog secure garden even for small dogs. Convenient location on edge of Skegness. A few minor issues that need addressing IMO. Only two knives. Frying pan useless. No oven glove or tea towel. There was no hand soap in either kitchen or bathroom. No salt or pepper and no welcome pack whatsoever. You will need everything from minute one including milk for a cup of tea. Cooker oven really needs better instructions or replacement as markings have rubbed off through use. No washing up bowl. But these are minor issues and I would stay again if visiting area again. I would recommend this holiday let.

Only drawbacks, garden hadn't been checked I removed 3 lots of dog mess, the toilet brush was disgusting. Usually it has been bleached. Also we had to Google oven as controls round knobs had worn off. So perhaps a laminated picture would be handy. But I would stay again as it was a lovely bungalow.

It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was welcoming and comfortable from first entering and throughout. We would certainly stay here again.
