Rowan Cottage is a super cottage in a quiet little lane just a stroll from the centre of picturesque Tideswell.
Right in the heart of the Peak District, down a little quiet lane is lovely Rowan Cottage. You’ll feel all cosy and warm relaxing in the attractively decorated lounge whilst watching the flames dance in the fire. The well equipped kitchen and two comfortable bedrooms make this cottage a great holiday retreat for friends and family.
Surrounded by brilliant landscapes and with a network of walks leaving from the doorstep, you’ll want to get outdoors and explore the local area. Tideswell is a wonderful little village, with proper village shops, cafes, restaurants, two chip shops and three friendly local pubs. Roam around the Peaks and down to Tideswell Dale and Monsal Dale and you’ll be amazed by the most picturesque views and dramatic valleys - a truly peaceful place. If you’re wanting to explore the rest of Derbyshire, you’re a short car journey from Bakewell, famous for its delicious Pudding, the grand Chatsworth House, historic Haddon Hall, Buxton with its amazing Opera House, or Castleton with the mysterious caverns.
When it’s time to return to base, make sure you leave enough time to pop into one of the village pubs for a night-cap or have a seat on the patio with a glass of something special under the night’s sky.

Parking: Roadside on the quiet lane outside.
General: WiFi, linen and towels are provided. Central heating, fuel and power are included.
Pets: 1 small pet welcome. Note - you will need to pay a pet fee and you must not leave dogs unattended in the property.

This the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. All requirements catered for especially the dog! The owner provided everything and the welcome bottle of wine and peanuts very touching and appreciated. Communications were excellent. Village very pretty and accessible to nearby Buxton. Will definitely consider staying/returning in the future.

The mattresses were quite hard, which I find difficult to sleep on. Which meant I had to pile up all the duvets on top and sleep on top of them - which worked. As to whether we book with you will depend on whether you are offering suitable accommodation in a place where we want to go on holiday.
